I've been using the instant tan lately rather than full on fake tan for the summer, as I prefer to be able to wash off any mistakes in the shower easily!I also like that it doesn't leave that biscuit-y fake tan smell on my skin, and that you can see where you're applying it, and how much.
Another instant tan I have used the Sublime Bronze Gel, which I hate, unless you want irremovable glitter on your hands and face, this product is not for you, it claims to have an 'illuminating effect' which does just mean chunky glitter everywhere, on the positive side, I did like the colour for my face as it was natural looking, and not orange but I still couldn't stand the glitter.
The downfall of the Rimmel tan is that I have only found it in 2 colours, one is very light, and as daunting as it looks when it's just come out the bottle, it's not very dark once rubbed into the skin, the other shade (medium matte) I have tried it incredibly dark, and after a lot of scrubbing and hot soapy water, it has stained my hands a weird brown/purple colour, bad times.
Overall though I'm enjoying using the Rimmel instant tan also because, it's quick drying and has no funny smell! overall 4/5
